The federation is looking for new members that are interested in learning or sharing the latest techniques in bass fishing, like working with our youth anglers, and have an interest in the environment. Maine Junior & Adult Bass Club List

The Maine B.A.S.S. Federation Nation is proud to announce the following Junior Bass Clubs that have formed in Maine. These clubs accept young anglers between the ages of 7-18. Each club functions differently but all enjoy the benefits of learning from our chapter members. If you enjoy bass fishing and want to learn more please contact the club nearest to your area. If you need to update your club information, or add/remove your information from the list please feel free to contact webmaster.

Junior Clubs

L/A Junior Bassmasters - Auburn

Establish in 2005, we hold four club tournaments from volunteer boats as well as being active in conservation projects. We fish in two age divisions from 11-14 and 15-18. Three of our anglers, Darren Villani, Nick Deering, and Brian Volkernick have competed in the Bassmaster Junior World Championship since 2005 and Brian Volkernick won the inaugural Junior Eastern Divisional in 2008 on Lake Winnipesaukee. Our club will host an open, the Children's Miracle Network Bass Classic on Androscoggin Lake on August 1, 2010 out of Riverbend Campground. The event is open to all bass anglers.

Mainely Bass Junior Bassmasters - Lyman

Maine's first & largest Junior Bassmaster chapter is based out of Lyman, ME. and is open to youth age 7-17. Most of our members are from the Kennebunk/Alfred/Lyman/Waterboro area. We compete in two divisions: the shore division (age 6-10) fishes four shore tournaments and our Jr Pro division (age 11-18) competes in four boat tournaments. We are also active in conservation, Bassmaster CastingKids and other activities. We meet the last Wed. each month at the Lyman Public Library at 6:30 pm.

Reel Deal Junior Bassmasters - Gardiner

Central Maine Bassmasters has formed the Reel Deal Junior Bassmasters, Maine's third jr club. We meet at the Boys & Girls club in Gardiner.

Adult Clubs

American Bassmasters - Casco/Windham

Individual Open Trail, since 2001. Anglers fish alone, no partners or non-boaters. Club meets 8 times per year. Currently 10 Maine State Bass Federation Nation members, but trail tournaments average 27 boats per tournament. Payback to 1 place for every five anglers, single lunker, $60.00 entry for 2007.

Androscoggin Bassmasters - Lewiston

A 20 plus member bass club affiliated with the Maine B.A.S.S. Federation Nation. We take great pride in our youth and conservation events. In 2005 we formed our Junior Bassmaster club the L/A Junior Bassmasters, a club for youth ages 11-18 year olds. Our annual functions include; A clean-up of Auburn Lake shores in April. Our famous Androscoggin River open bass tournament always the third Sunday in August! Six weigh-in club tournaments from May to October. Finally an awards banquet at the conclusion of the season. Meetings are held in Greene, ME usually the first Wednesday's of each month from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm, except the winter break months of Jan, Feb.. Annual dues are $80.00 that cover BASS and Maine Federation Nation dues, club tournaments, lunkers, awards and a free subscription to BASS Times.

Black Bear Bass Champs - Augusta

Bronzeback Mainiacs - Lewiston

Bronzeback Mainiacs is a Lewiston based club affiliated with the Maine B.A.S.S. State Federation Nation and is a Conservation/Youth oriented club, active in C.M.R. CLUB TOURNAMENTS DURING THE "SPAWN SEASON" and CAMP HINES BOY SCOUT CAMP "helping scouts earn their badges in fishing. We currently have 20 members and our Max. is 30. We meet on the 1st Thursday of each month at the V.F.W. at the Lewiston / Lisbon town line @ 7PM. We have been holding an OPEN Bass Tournament on the Androscoggin River for since 1996, which has benefited the Androscoggin County D.A.R.E. Program and is now associated with the March of Dimes Association. We are a very serious club with the key being "FUN". Anyone wanting information about our club or wants to attend a meeting, can contact us. We hold our 1st 2 club tournaments as C.M.R. ( respecting the spawn) and the other 3 as weigh-in tournaments.

Central Maine Bassmasters - Durham

Central Maine Bassmasters is a club that is dedicated to promoting the sport of fishing to area youth and being involved with conservation projects. Some of the youth activities include working with Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Pine Tree Camp for Crippled Children, and China Boy Scouts. Some conservation projects include the China Lake Clean-up (also the sight of our Mid Maine Marine Tracker Open, where you could win a NEW NITRO) and multiple launch cleanups. We are a great bunch of guys and are always looking for new members that share our same passion for youth and the environment. Kennebec Valley Bassmasters - Winthrop/ S Augusta

Kennebec Valley Bassmasters is the second oldest club in Maine with deep ties in the preservation and protection of our natural resources. We also strive in the education of our youth. We do many activities throughout the year such as conservation projects, an annual youth tournament, casting kids events and an annual kids day held at the Birches Camp Ground in Litchfield. We also have 6 club tournaments, one being a club vs. club against Mid Coast Anglers, 1 annual open and new in 2006 a late season invitational that will be held on different bodies of water throughout the state. KVB helped in the removal of crushed stone that was illegally dumped on the shoreline of this landowner. Kennebec Valley Bassmasters is currently accepting new members, boaters or non-boaters, to join our club. If you are person who wants to learn what bass fishing is all about or a veteran tournament angler, please look us up. We meet at Togus VA Hospital in Augusta in building 210 at 7:00pm, the first and third Tuesday of each month.
