2006 Report - Ray Boies

The results from the 2006 Governors Cup charity bass tournament event. It was another tough year of bass fishing on Manchester, Maine's Cobbossee Lake. However these anglers found the bass. The Senate beat the House Of Representatives with the final weights being: Senate 38.10 pounds. The House 29.4 pounds. Largest smallmouth 3.11 pounds caught by Janet Mills (House) captained by Dave Barnes Sr. Largest largemouth 5.04 pounds caught by Joseph Perry (Senate) captained by Dale Libby.

A special thanks to all the Federation members (you know who you are) who took the time to provide boats and those who assisted in set up, cooking and photography, Bear Smimmo was there as well to photograph some key individuals.

According to Harold Jones this was the biggest turn out so far. Thanks Andy & Sherry Wess for the use of the facilities. We are confident that next years event will be even bigger and better. Again a big Thanks from Steve Wilson, Harold Jones, and myself, and I'm sure all the Legislatures as well. for a fun time
