Best Fishing Story: Most memorable tournament day I have ever had was at the state tournament at Highland Lake in 2008 because I went most of the day without catching a fish and then in the last hour I caught 4 fish. It was a beautiful day to go out fishing and it was important to me to move on to the Regional tournament. I always wanted to know what it would feel like to be up on the stage that the pros have been on. I love fishing for pride, and that day gave me a ton of pride and confidence to push myself to catching enough to win the tournament. Not only did I win the tournament, but I also made a new friend and had fun doing what I love to do best.
My most memorable moment I have had is when I went to Kansas to fish in the Junior World Championship. Even though the weather wasn't good I had a fun time out there. I also learned what a baseball hat is called in Canada. They call it a tuke. While I was out fishing, my partner and I were so into the fishing, that we never got to sit down and eat our lunch. When I was up on that stage it felt like I was on top of the world. While my family and I were in Kansas we had so much fun on and off the water, I will never forget that weekend, and hope to return to the JWC for some unfinished business.
