Best Fishing Story: 2009 divisional on Lake Simcoe, first day of the event I run to an area I found in practice, I pick up a jerkbailt and on the very first cast I catch a 6lb smallmouth, 6 or 7 casts later I catch a 5lb smallmouth, what a start. Third day of the event I run to area about 45 minutes away only to arrive to find a boat sitting on it. I get closer and see it is my buddy from RI. He tells me he has a limit but only one good one. I start fishing and catch 3 nice ones on a drop shot in the first 10 minutes. I then grab my jerkbait and say to him let me show you these catch big fish. He laughs and says yeah right I haven't caught anything on them all week. I make a cast, twitch it twice and my road loads up and it is a good one. He says no way, sets down his drop shot and casts out a jerkbait, it barley hits the water and his rod loads up. I land a nice 5 pounder and watch as he fights with his. He finally lands it and it is a 6 pounder. He goes on to win the event.
