Best Fishing Story: At the end of the first day of the 2010 Maine B.A.S.S. Federation Nation Eastern Divisional Qualifier I had four fish weighing 8.23 lbs and found myself in 44th place. The next day we fished in an area my wife and I found a couple weeks earlier. Within the first 15 minutes I had two fish over 3 lbs. A couple of spectators passed by a little later and we exchange greetings. We fished there most of the day and I put two more 3 pounders in the live well. The spectators returned and asked if the fishing was any good there. I said no, this area really isn't that good. With that said, I skipped a Lake Fork Ring Fry right up next to shore where a 3 lb 12oz largemouth hit. I set the hook and started cranking for all I was worth trying to keep the fish up out of the weeds. Behind me all I could hear was the woman in the other boat screaming and yelling about how big the fish was and how hard the fish was fighting. That's what I love about fishing, everyone gets excited!!! A big thanks to James Cortis for being right there when I needed him.
