Your personal and fishing accomplishments: 2004 Maine B.A.S.S. Nation State Champion

Best Fishing Story: Back in 2003 the State Fish-off had two rounds. I made it to the second round on the Androscoggin river as the first alternate. I showed up that morning and two qualifiers had to back out. That still left me out of luck since there was still an uneven number of competitors and I didn’t bring my boat. With the help of a friend we convinced the tournament director to allow me to get my boat and still compete. My home was two hours away at the time, so I called my dad and he grabbed my boat and met me halfway. I finally launched at around noon day 1. I caught up with another competitor to check my livewells and I was off. Had a good bag with only 4 hours of fishing time and did well the next day to make the team. Ended up making the Nationals that year where I was fortunate enough to come in 7th and win a Ranger boat (Highest Ranger boat owner finisher at the Nationals)…Just a lucky series of events that I will never forget. If my dad had not gone out of his way that morning none of that would have happened.
