Don't let the name fool you. This trail isn't just for men, but all competitive anglers and their goal to bring the heaviest bag to the scales. 6 Lakes - 7 Fish Limit - 12" minimum - Large & Smallmouth - 8 Hours and a $125 entry per tournament - Who can consistently catch them and make the Tournament of Champions?
We designed this trail for all anglers in the state. We have reasonable entry fees, good payouts and great lakes. Our goal is to be the premiere Bass Trail in the State of Maine by having well run tournaments, promoting good fish care and good sportsmanship.
There is a $30 registration fee per team, ($10 MVB Registration & $20 Bassmaster Team Championship Required Prior To First Event). You do not need to be a Maine B.A.S.S. Nation or National B.A.S.S. member to enter either, but is recommended.
The Maine B.A.S.S. Nation held the High School Bass Championship Oct 11 on Pleasant Pond/ Cobbossee Stream at the Gardiner Sportsman’s Club. Nine teams from high school bass clubs who have joined the B.A.S.S. high school program were present to vie for the state title and opportunity to advance to the 2016 B.A.S.S. High School National Championship. The high schools represented were Noble, Biddeford, Bonney Eagle, Belfast and the Southern Maine community club. The weather was great, but a week of rapidly changing water levels had the bass in a funk and would challenge the anglers and their boat captain/coaches who headed for their favorite fishing holes to try to catch a team limit of five bass. After the fish were weighed in and released, the winners were declared.
We are looking at putting together a list of all the Plastic lure and line recycle tubes that the Maine B.A.S.S. Nation clubs or other organizations have placed at boat launches throughout Maine. This will help identify who placed the tubes at each location as well as give clubs an idea where they are located.
Androscoggin Bassmasters - Auburn Lake, 3 locations
Bronzeback Mainiacs - Annabessacook Lake. Androscoggin Lake State launch, Wilson Pond, Monmouth, Maranacook Lake (Winthrop and Readfield). Broneback Mainiacs plan on making 5 more for other lakes.
Please send your information and questions to: firstname.lastname@example.org
Once again the Maine B.A.S.S. Nation will take the leadership role of collecting used plastic baits by way of collection tubes that have been placed at boat launches in Maine and during local bass tournaments.
The ReBaits program is designed to keep potentially discarded soft plastic baits out of the water and out of the stomachs of fish, and into recycling, not landfills.
